Marketing Executive Assistant

Major maple syrup and sugar producer seeks an energetic, motivated Marketing Executive Assistant that is self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and good computer abilities, which are organized, detailed oriented, professional and can share our passion for what we believe is "Quite possibly the purest maple syrup on earth.”

This is an entry level position the right candidate will be able to assist us with everyday responsibilities as well as larger scale projects.

MARKETING

  • Serve as liaison between advertising agencies and the company, and various marketing services.
  • Help prepare press releases, company newsletter and event announcements.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, mailings, and advertising.
  • Assist in writing and editing sales and marketing materials, which include articles, presentations, white papers, and collateral.
  • Help with Social Media.
  • Provide administrative aid for various projects related to market, which includes project meetings schedule.
  • Maintains inventory of marketing materials, keep storage area neat and tidy.
  • Prepare trade show materials and upon return inspect, organize and put away
  • Generating trade show passes, thank you letters, form letters for mailing mass brochures to the company prospective customers.
  • Substitute phone coverage for Customer Care team.

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative tasks, including (but not limited to) managing calendars, schedules, and planning.
  • Schedule and communicate in-office appointments for client meetings as well as follow-up calls and confirmations.
  • Performs routine duties for CEO, CFO, Retail Manager, and other program staff as necessary.
  • Assists with special event planning, marketing campaigns, and other public relation activities as assigned.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings or appointments.
  • Coordinate general tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education requirement: two year college degree and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Customer service, business management, marketing, graphic design and project management coursework & certification valued.

Inside Sales Assistant

Major maple syrup and sugar producer seeks an energetic, motivated Inside Sales Assistant that is self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and good computer abilities, which are organized, detailed oriented, professional and can share our passion for what we believe is "Quite possibly the purest maple syrup on earth.”

CORE FUNCTIONS  

This is a strategic support function to our Sales Director with emphasis on customer satisfaction, data entry, record keeping, and follow-up. The individual must be extremely organized and structured in time management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists our Sales Director in maintaining business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.

 

  • Makes telephone calls to existing and prospective customers.
  • Under the direction of our Sales Director -Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Assists in coordinating sales effort with marketing, accounting, manufacturing and logistics.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Possess the ability to thrive in a constantly changing chaotic environment and consistently meet tight timelines.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally at all levels both inside and outside the company.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.

Seasonal Retail Café Staff

Retail Café Staff core duties are: to provide the established outstanding hospitality & service to all, assist in all operations for Madava Retail food service & visitor operations; employ Madava’s POS system to input receive orders for food & retail items; refresh & maintain dining and retail spaces; setup and breakdown of weekend service or special functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Medium to high volume café/restaurant experience
  • Able to work more than 8 hours on their feet
  • Available to work Saturday & Sundays
  • Flexible work hours and days
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Must be assertive, highly organized, attentive to detail, be accurate and efficient
  • Superlative interpersonal skills
  • Excellence in customer service
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment

Preferred: 

  • Formal Culinary Education 2 year or more
  • HACCP or ServSafe Certified
  • 2-years of experience in café/restaurant kitchen, OR 2-year formal culinary arts degree. OR in process formal culinary/baking arts degree acceptable
  • Experience with POS System
  • Background in Maple Syrup cooking or process
  • Tour guide experience

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Provide superlative customer service
  • Receive and input retail and food orders
  • Handle cash and credit transactions in Madava POS system
  • Prepare hot and cold beverages
  • Prepare coffee/espresso beverages
  • Prepare, plate and delivery food and beverage orders quickly and efficiently
  • Clean and bus tables/ special events
  • Practice highest level of food safety and sanitation in all areas of work
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Execute opening and/or closing procedures for kitchen and Farmstand
  • Assist in prepare ingredients and menu items for the Farm Stand and other special events maintaining high standards in food preparation and service
  • Ensure food displays are clean, attractive and set up as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef
  • Set up or breakdown Farm Stand operations or special events
  • Answer incoming phone calls, take orders and give informative responses
  • Be respectful to all guests and employees
  • Arrive to work on time ready to work
  • Fulfill all work and schedule commitments

 

Bottling and Shipping Assistant Manager

Crown Maple is renowned for top-quality organic maple products. We seek a high caliber candidate who is looking to grow with our company in our shipping, bottling and maple sugar production areas.  This position requires a highly responsible, energetic, motivated team player with leadership ability. Experience in a bottling or food production plant will be a major plus. Areas of responsibility include shipping, quality control, meeting production schedules, basic equipment maintenance, maintaining cleanliness of equipment and environment, and improvement of production efficiency. Typical schedule is 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday, flexibility for schedule changes is required.  

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience: HS graduate minimum, Associates Degree in technical or science discipline and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical aptitude/skill and experience in a food processing environment preferable.

 

Part Time Holiday Help - Shipping/Bottling

We seek a highly responsible, energetic, motivated team player for a part time holiday helper in our Shipping/Bottling Area for the upcoming holiday season.
