Organic Maple Syrup Production
Every decision we make at Crown Maple is driven by Robb and Lydia's passion for the land at Crown Maple Farm and commitment to producing the purest maple syrup on earth. So it was only natural that we made the decision to pursue the highest seal of purity and quality any food product can obtain: USDA organic certification.
The first step in this comprehensive process was to draw up an Organic Farm Plan, a document detailing nearly every single aspect of our production. We gathered soil reports, sap collection techniques, diagrams of all facilites and equipment, results of numerous tests, field activity logs, and much more.
The process culminated with a representative from the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York Certified Organic, LLC, spending several hours inspecting our groves, tap lines, and collection houses.
After a final exit interview, Crown Maple Syrup was certified organic -- officially confirming our commitment to the best products for you and your family. The USDA defines organic as "integrating cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity."
