Orange Spiced French Toast

Orange Spiced French Toast with Crown Maple Medium Amber Syrup is just the right mixture of everything to make it like a touch of heaven.


2 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange peel (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
8 to 10 slices raisin or cinnamon bread, halved diagonally
5 tbsp. butter
You could use any kind of bread that you care too.


In a large bowl, with a wire whisk, beat eggs, cream, sugar, orange juice, orange
peel, vanilla and cinnamon until blended. Dip bread in egg mixture.

In skillet or griddle pan, melt 1 tbsp butter and cook 4 bread halves until golden brown, turning once. Repeat with remaining mixture and bread.

To serve, sprinkle with confectioner's sugar and Crown Maple Medium Amber Syrup.
